Council-Manager Form of Government
The City of Kings Mountain has a Manager-Council form of government. City Council is the policy making and legislative body of city government and includes a Mayor and seven Council members. You can find out more in this informative brochure about the Council-Manager form of government.

- Meetings are held the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 6:00pm (Holiday Schedules may vary)

Agendas are available prior to the meetings. Minutes are available following approval.
Live Stream
The City of Kings Mountain live streams all regular monthly City Council meetings. The live stream meetings will be conducted using the same rules of decorum as our in-person meetings. Citizens are allowed to address Council regarding any concern they may have during the Citizen Recognition time listed on the agenda for each meeting. There is also an opportunity for citizens to speak during the public hearing portions of the meeting.
Signup sheets will be available on the table located in the lobby for Citizen Recognition time and for each public hearing that is listed on the agenda. Individuals wishing to speak must sign up for both Citizen Recognition time and Public Hearings. Citizens are allotted three minutes to speak during both opportunities for public input. Only items that are presented on the agenda that have been advertised will be addressed during the meeting.
