Leaf Collection

Leaf Collection

The city collects leaves from residential properties within the corporate limits of the city. In order to continue providing service in a safe, effective, and timely manner, the city needs residents to help by following our policies and guidelines. Please take a moment to look over this guide:

  • Leaves shall not be bagged.
  • Leaves shall be placed behind the curb for collection.
  • Leaves shall be placed in a single pile free of dirt, rocks, bushes, limbs, branches and any other shrubbery cuttings.
  • At no time shall leaves be placed in a curb or street.
  • City streets are divided into ten routes and run on a daily basis until all routes have been completed each month.

Our policies intend to keep our city’s leaf collection service running safely, effectively, and in a timely manner.  It is essential that city crews are able to arrive at your home, safely and quickly collect your leaves, and move on to other homes. The attached schedule will be adhered to and only altered due to weather or equipment failure. During our heavy season, normally October-January, the route could be approximately three to four weeks.
