Human Resources

The Human Resources Department is responsible for providing a comprehensive support program to all departments throughout city government.  This includes administration of:

  • Benefits programs
  • Pay Classification and compensation system
  • Employee relations
  • Management of HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems)
  • Policy development and interpretation
  • Recruitment and selection
  • Payroll 
  • Safety and Risk Management – including, Worker’s compensation
  • Performance evaluation

Human Resource provides these services for over 275 employees – full time, part time, and seasonal.  Each department has unique and challenging needs.  We strive to be a strategic partner to support all departments in achieving organizational goals.
