Chat with the Chief began as a way to promote dialogue and enhance police/community relationships. The informal structure provides a relaxed atmosphere in which those who live and/or work in Kings Mountain can experience some one-on-one time with the Chief and police department staff. Citizens drive the conversation as an opportunity for department leadership to listen and answer questions. Chat with the Chief is held a couple times each year in various locations throughout Kings Mountain. Anyone is welcome to stop by at any time during the events, which are advertised in local media as well as on the department's social media accounts.
