About the Board:
The Kings Mountain Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) Board consists of five members serving at the pleasure of the Kings Mountain City Council. The Board operates one retail store. This store serves the general public though retail sales and also serves our licensee (liquor by the drink) businesses. The Board is responsible for the overall operation of the ABC store through its general manager, assistant manager and other employees. The Board seeks to assure that alcoholic beverages are handled in a responsible and controlled manner, and that sales are made only to those individuals and businesses legally entitled to make such purchases. By establishing and following a budget and established policies and procedures, the Board also seeks to oversee operations in a manner to maximize revenues that are distributed to the City of Kings Mountain and other local entities.
Meetings:
- Meetings are held on the third Monday of each month.
- 6:00 pm at the Kings Mountain ABC Store.
Consist of 5 members.
Serve a 3 year term.
