Kings Mountain City & County Resources

The library owns local family history specific to the Kings Mountain area. The library houses a small vertical file of newspaper clippings, photographs, brochures and some magazine publications concerning the City of Kings Mountain, the area and its citizens. Interspersed in these vertical files are unpublished, donated family histories.

North Carolina Family Records Collection is comprised of North Carolina family history materials from the holdings of the State Archives of North Carolina and State Library of North Carolina.

North Carolina Digital Collections


The North Carolina Digital Collections database contain over 90,000 historic and recent photographs, state government publications, manuscripts, and other resources on topics related to North Carolina. The collections are free and full-text searchable, and bring together content from the State Archives of North Carolina and the State Library of North Carolina.

North American Women's Letters and Diaries


North American Women's Letters and Diaries includes the immediate experiences of 1,325 women and 150,000 pages of diaries and letters.
