The H. Lawrence Patrick Senior Life and Conference Center is a non-profit public organization that provides services to persons 55 years of age and older.

Our Mission:  The Patrick Senior Center serves as a focal point on aging providing a broad range of ever changing services and programs that enhance the well-being and dignity of senior adults in the greater Kings Mountain area.

Our center is accessible to all seniors regardless of income, ability, ethnicity, race, sex, religion or intellect. The center is designed on one level to accommodate the mobility of everyone. Several ways that we insure services for all are: vision magnifier located in the center, enlarged print newsletters on request, comfort height toilets, voice magnification equipment for use at the center, mobility equipment for use at the center and/or home for loan, and programs, services and activities that are offered at minimal or no cost.

Our Center offers health & wellness programs, information and referral service, educational opportunities, transportation services, SHIIP insurance counseling, a library with computers equipped with the internet, classes such as quilting, crafts, knitting, ceramics, etc., billiards and ping-pong table, volunteer opportunities, a free newsletter, income tax preparation, tax listing assistance, etc.  We loan medical equipment, offered clerical assistance, and have a consignment gift shop.  We coordinate services with other Cleveland County agencies to offer a Nutrtion site and Meals on Wheels(Cleveland County Council on Aging/Neal Senior Center, Commodities Distribution (Shelby Lions Club), Legal Services (Legal Aid of NC, Inc.) and our annual Health Care Fair(COA/Neal Senior Center).
